Next, as you drive down the main entrance the massive clubhouse will impress you. It is available for rental by Heritage Lakes' residents. You can rent the ballroom, the billiard room, or the craft room for parties, play dates, and other celebrations. Additionally, you will have access to a full kitchen when you rent the facility.
Attached to the clubhouse is a fitness room that is available when you are. Just south of the clubhouse is the resort-style swimming area. Here you will find two pools. The upper pool is available for lap swimming and "adult" only hours are available for your enjoyment. A large hot tub is adjacent to the upper pool. Next, you will note the lower "play" pool that is complete with a waterfall and a "lazy river". Plus, another hot tub can be found in this lower area.
For the golf lover, Heritage Lakes has a 9-hole par three golf course right in the center of the subdivision. The course wraps around a couple of small lakes and is complete with its very own "island green" so you can sharpen up on your chipping skills.
If you prefer, you can spend time around the lakes throwing a line in the water and enjoying a little "catch and release" fishing. On a nice day it is not uncommon to see lots of families out enjoying the playground area or simply walking around our many hike and bike trails.
What are the public schools like?
Heritage Lakes is located in the city of Frisco but falls within the Lewisville Independent School District. The LISD prides itself on its long-standing tradition of educational excellence. Many families move into LISD because of the commitment to student success. LISD also has six National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, which is the highest designation a school can earn by the United States Department of Education.
Annually, the LISD receives numerous academic accolades and finance awards, which is a reflection of their quality teachers and staff. LISD’s highly qualified team is what makes the district a premiere school system in Texas!
Hicks Elementary serves children from kindergarten to 5th grade. In 2011, Hicks Elementary received an "Exemplary" rating by the Texas Education Agency.
Arbor Creek Middle School serves children from 6th to 8th grade. In 2011, Arbor Creek received a "Recognized" rating by the Texas Education Agency.
Hebron 9th Grade Center was opened in 2010 to provide a seamless transition for students moving from middle school to high school while maintaining a high level of consistency and continuity with the main Hebron High School campus. In 2011, Hebron 9th Grade Center received a "Recognized" rating by the Texas Education Agency.

What are the most sought after streets in Heritage Lakes?
There is not one street that is more sought after than others in Heritage Lakes. The neighborhood is diverse in that it offers some home homes that are smaller patio homes on smaller lots to larger homes on winding streets and cul-de-sacs that range from neat 1/3 to 1/2 an acre. Furthermore, if you are looking for a home with a view, many homes allow a view one of many lakes with lighted water fountains or a view of the well-manicured golf course.

Where do people workout?
Many of your neighbors take advantage of the on site exercise facility or spend time at the Lakes Tennis Academy workout area. Additionally, the City of Frisco Athletic Center is widely utilized by many residents. It is a two-story facility located at the southeast corner of Preston Road and Wade Boulevard. It spans over 100,000 square feet and includes an indoor and outdoor aquatic center.
For those of you that already own memberships to other gyms, Heritage Lakes is situated between three different 24 Hour Fitness facilities. Off of Preston Road in Frisco you will find an LA Fitness and just a little south in Plano is a nice Lifetime Fitness Facility. Additionally, Frisco is home to two different YMCA Facilities.
What kind of organized sports are offered?
The City of Frisco was named "The Best Place to Raise an Athlete" by Men's Journal. This was in recognition of the city's commitment to Youth and Adult sports alike. Additionally, city managers have aggressively pursued professional sports teams in an effort to encourage them to make Frisco their home. As a result, more than 8,000 games are played on the city's first-class sports fields and venues.
Through a partnership between the City of Frisco, the Frisco Independent School District, Hunt Sports Group and Collin County, Pizza Hut Park, a $105 million public-private complex was built in 2005. This 20,000-seat arena is a popular venue for soccer matches, high school football, concerts and much more.
The Frisco Sports Council is comprised of non-profit volunteer organizations that implement and manage several youth and adult athletic leagues, tournaments and programs for the community. More than 15,000 Frisco residents align themselves with these nationally recognized youth and adult sports associations.

What is the traffic like when commuting from Heritage Lakes?
While you are not going to want to leave home from your terrific community, recent road construction and expansion makes commuting much easier than in years past. Commute times obviously vary depending upon time of day but these will give you a good idea when planning your schedule.
